LAMA House Rochedale

LAMA House expresses a timeless luxury of simplicity and light - crafted with culture and family in mind.

Our first major commission, LAMA House works against the ideals of over adornment and a house being a collection of features. Instead, it seeks to project a sense of calm and quietness, where beauty comes from its connection to nature and from its textural quality.

A simple L shaped layout is combined with an angled “Living Pavilion”, making full use of a prominent but awkwardly-shaped corner site. The pavilion is anchored by two small courtyards with sculptural planting, so that even the passage of time makes the room interesting and delightful.

To allow for aging in place and potential multi-generational living, the Master Bedroom is located on the Ground Floor. Spaces are generous in proportion and feature a resort-like flow, creating a sustainable, restful and right-sized living environment.

Stage Two of this project, involving new External spaces and minor internal alterations, is now under way!
